Warm up this winter with the Healthful Hub

Our friends at the Healthful Hub have shared this amazing Warm Broccoli Soup recipe that is definitely a cold weather favourite. It destroys the myth that all raw food has to be cold and unwelcoming! The heat from the broccoli makes this a lovely, gently warmed soup great for winter. Plus it is super easy to make!

By steaming the broccoli for just 5 minutes, over pre-boiled water that has been left to cool down for 6-8 minutes, the meal remains raw. However this gains enough warmth to give that filling, comforting feeling of a full meal. Containing superfood benefits, the texture of the broccoli and kick of the ginger makes this an excellent choice for those new to alkalising.

Ingredients:warm broccoli soup recipe moringa superfood

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 6 -8 broccoli heads
  • 1/3 red onion
  • 1 Celery Stick
  • Big handful of spinach
  • An inch of root ginger
  • 1 tbsp Moringa Organics Superfood
  • 1 teaspoon natural vegetable stock or Hedrbamare (optional)
  • 200ml of water
  • 1 cup of water


  1. Lightly steam the broccoli (5-6 minutes) over pre-boiled water.
  2. Combine broccoli with all ingredients in a blender.
  3. Mix hot water with the stock.
  4. Add pepper and Hedrbamare to taste (optional).
  5. Enjoy! (Serves 2)
