5 Fun Facts About Lemons
Fun Fact #1
Many already know that lemons are a rich source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that protects the body against immune system deficiencies. But few know that they also offer up a healthy serving of potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Wow!
Fun Fact #2
Lemons aid the enzyme functions in your body, stimulating the liver and flushing out toxins. The atomic structure of lemon juice is similar to that of the digestive fluids found inside your stomach – it tricks the liver into producing more bile which in turn helps food move through the gastrointestinal tract with ease.
Fun Fact #3
Grab your loved one and go in for the big ‘ol kiss. The acidic content in lemons prevents growth of bacteria in your mouth and leads to fresher breath. Lemons can be a natural addition to your existing dental routine.
Fun Fact #4
The antioxidants found in lemons not only nourish your body internally but also keep you radiant and youthful externally. Vitamin C helps the body produce collagen which is essential in smoothing out lines in the face and rejuvenating the skin. So switch out those fancy skin cremes for some fresh lemons!
Fun Fact #5
